So reception knows who they are replying to. A phone number or an email is enough; both is better.

Your app opens, already written

WhatsApp or email, whichever you already use. The message arrives in your chat box complete; you only press send.

Reception replies to you directly

A real person at the front desk, not an automated reply. They confirm the room is free, or offer the nearest alternative.

You pay on arrival

Card or transfer at the desk. Nothing is taken online, and the room is held on the confirmation you get back.
